World Card Making Day 2014

Happy World Card Making Day everyone!! Are you excited about getting inky fingers? Ha ha – my fingers are an attractive shade of ‘Vintage Sepia’!

I’m really excited today because I got my Stampin’ UP! delivery this morning & the main bit I was looking forward to was the arrival of my curvy keepsake die! I’ve seen SO many amazing creations on Pinterest that I think I won’t sleep for a week just playing with it!

So below are photos of the first thing I’ve made with my new die, obviously it’s not perfect, I just really wanted to play with the die & MAKE SOMETHING!!!! The tags that come with the curvy keepsake box have been stamped with sentiments from Waltzingmouse Stamps ‘Wanda’s Pantry‘ and ‘Halloween Party‘. The little leaves are from the ‘Funky Flowers‘ stamp set & cut out with the co-ordinating dies.

This isn’t the only thing I’ve made today – this is the card I’ve made for the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #28 ‘Anything Goes’:

I inked the fir branches and cones from ‘Festive Foliage‘ in Mossy Meadow & Early Espresso and stamped them all over the front of this Kraft 6″ x 6″ base card.

Then I cut the largest of the stitched tags from white card stock and stamped the sentiment from ‘Say It With Style’ in Early Espresso. I cut the re-enforcer from Mossy Meadow card stock, adhered it with Quicky Glue and then inked the edges of the tag with Vintage Sepia Distress Ink.

I threaded some bakers twin through the tag, then used 3mm sticky foam pads to attach the tag to the front of my card.

I hope you will be able to play along with the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge too – just remember you MUST USE A WALTZINGMOUSE STAMP, DIE OR DIGI!
